Career Development Loans

If you can't get any other help to pay for your course, you may be able to apply for a Career Development Loan (CDL). A CDL is a commercial bank loan of between £300 and £8,000 and can be used to help fund up to two years of job related training or learning (or three years if your course includes work experience).

The Government pays the interest on the loan while you are learning. You'll have to start paying back the loan at a fixed rate of interest after the end of your course.
